Michael's Graduation!

Walking across the stage!

Michael's mom & stepdad Larry came up for the weekend.  We loved having them here!

Wilma & Michael (dad had to ship out early, we missed him!)

Darcy & Michael.  So proud of you guys!
Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

On Saturday May 19th, Michael graduated with his Bachelor's of Science in Healthcare Administration.  I am SO proud of him!  He has worked so hard to complete his degree since serving our country in the U.S. Navy for 8 years prior.   We caravanned to Nashville for the day and were joined by Mama Shawne, Larry, Wilma, Patti, Andy, Sean, Leslie, Joey, Ashley, & Jack.  After the ceremony we headed to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner.  And we even picked up a few balloon hats for fun!  It was a great day!  I should also mention we had a big party the night before with most of our friends & family but I somehow forgot to take pictures!  I guess I was busy hosting but we had a blast, thanks to all who came!

May Family Gathering at The Laymons!

Michael was our griller ;-)

Three of my handsome nephews...Kelsey, Camden, and Caleb...oh and Reece in there in the back!

A little Wii fun!

We enjoyed a water balloon toss game.

And said game turned into a fight by the end.

We loved hosting our family to the new house!  I think everyone enjoyed their time and the little boys LOVED the water balloon fight!  Hope to host again soon!

Starting to look like home...

Still probably my favorite room!

Jack has already decorated our new fridge.

We are loving our new house but are a bit exhausted from working to get everything just right!  We keep asking each other if we will ever have a relaxing evening in this home.  But I think its looking possible very soon!

Moving Day!

This is what we arrived to find on our front door.  And our new neighbors Tim & Brenda made us the "welcome" sign!

The madness!

Ashley made fun of my organization, but I did go a little overboard with the kitchen.  Each box was labeled with a corresponding map of the cabinets.  I think my helpers appreciated the map in the end ;-).

We moved in on Saturday April 27th, thanks to our wonderful family & friends!  Check back for updated pictures!

God Answers Prayers!!!

IT SOLD!!!  Yes, you read correctly!

On April 11th, someone looked at our house.  We didn't hold our breathe.  You see our house was showing a LOT, and almost every looker would give positive feedback.  Our favorite comment, "its on our list."  But our house had been on the market for 6 months now and we were preparing to begin making 2 house payments in just 6 short weeks.  We prayed everyday for the right person to buy our house.  And I claimed this scripture daily, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Phil 4:6).  Well, on Friday I got an email that said they loved the house and it was at the top of their list, they would be in touch.  I didn't even tell Michael at that point because again the whole list thing was getting old.  So I waited and prayed.

On Monday, I got another email that they were planning to put an offer in...thought I would die!  I immediately called Michael to the computer to read the screen.  We prayed right then and there...thanked God and prayed again that if it was right it would happen.  On Tuesday afternoon I couldn't stand it anymore, I called our relator to see when we should hear.  She said by the end of the day...yikes!  Close to 5pm on that Tuesday April 17, we got our offer.  We countered once, they accepted and by Wednesday April 18th, we had a buyer...10 days prior to our move!  God hears our prayers and answered in a BIG way.  Thank you Lord!

So with a little sadness we said good-bye to our 1st home together.  We will miss Mauldeth Road and especially our great neighbors!  But we are so excited to begin our next chapter.
