Happy 60th Birthday Mom!

Saturday we celebrated my Mom's 60th Birthday! We had BBQ and fun times out at Terry's farm with friends and family. It was great time to celebrate mom and all she does and means to us. We love you mom!

House for SALE!

Back in June we decided to list our house For Sale By Owner. We tried for 4 months with some showings/interest but nothing ever came out of it. During that time we stalked the real estate sites and visited many homes with our relator Caroline Outlaw. She is wonderful and we totally recommend her if you are looking for someone! We just could not find anything we loved that was for sale. Which lead us to look into building...and that is what we have settled on. Our home is now listed with Caroline and we pray it sells soon so we can begin this adventure of building a home! We will keep you posted with that process...

Cruise - Anniversary Trip

To my surprise Michael suggested we take a cruise to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. Since he was in the US Navy I thought trips on boats were out of the question, as he always referred to the idea as "work". But we went and had a great time! We are already planning the next one. Special thanks to Aunt Allison for taking such great care of Reece!

Waiting to board
Slots....fun times
One of the many towel creations
Attended an art action...and bought 5 pieces...moral of the story no more auctions for Emily!
Key West, FL

Sloppy Joe's in Key West for nachos and drinks...yum!

I am in trouble for not remembering the name of this US Navy ship that we saw...
Key West as we sailed away
Nassau, Bahamas
Senior Frogs
They make guacamole at your table, this plus the drink...heaven!
A little mini-golf on the ship...I got 3 hole in ones! But don't say anything to Michael...he is still sore over it ;-)
At a show
Michael's hilarious idea to do with all of our towel creations...pretty funny!
Last night at dinner

Jacksonville, FL

We traveled to Jacksonville, FL (Michael's old stompin ground) to catch our ship and stopped in for the weekend prior to boarding. We stayed with his cousins Matt & Dawn who again I failed to capture a picture of but I did get their awesome dog Oakley in a picture. Thanks guys for your hospitality! We also visited with more family and friends. A great beginning to our trip!

Oakley loved Michael ;-)
The Bat-Mobile?
San Sebastian's Winery of course!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary!

Thought I would start this post with one of our 1st pictures as "husband & wife." Look at us, we were so happy. And then fast forward to this year...Joe's Crab Shack! We were leaving on a cruise to celebrate our 1st year the next day and so we hit up the Crab Shack for our actual anniversary dinner. It was yummy! Can't believe I didn't get a picture of us together, oh well. Happy Anniversary love!

This is what I posted on Facebook: "One year ago today I married my best friend. It has been the best year of my life and I am so thankful for him. He makes me laugh, try, & love more everyday. I can't wait to see where life takes us next. Happy Anniversary Michael! I love you!"

My Warrior

Michael & our brother Sean traveled to Manchester, TN for the Warrior Dash in September. From what I can tell they had a blast and are even trying to convince me to do it next year...we will see.

Michael night before race...getting in "the zone"
Yuck...the mud crawl portion
Two gross but happy boys
Prior to the race
Thanks Leslie for the pictures as I could not attend due to work.

Labor Day Weekend 2011

We spend Labor Day Weekend with my family on the river. It was a great time with family and God's beautiful creation. Reece went and enjoyed swimming in the river and pulling us around.

On the Lake with Friends

We joined our church, First Centenary, about a year ago and we have been so blessed ever since. We love our pastors, the music, the people, and our Sunday School Class. We had been praying for a group of people our age & stage of life to connect with and God has provided that through Common Ground. In August some of our fiends from class Chris "aka: Smo" and Leanna invited us to their lake house and we had a wonderful weekend with our friends. Thanks guys for the invite!

Jack turned 4

So Jack turned 4 and I can hardly believe it! I was there 4 years ago when he was born and I have loved every minute of being Aunt Emmie. Even though he recently told me "Michael is better Emmie". I admit I was crushed but Michael assures me its just a phase ;-). I plan to "win" him back with our annual Christmas cookie backing session soon! Happy Birthday Jack! We love you!
